Start your brief

Every store is built in a private development store and you approve it before anything goes live. A handover call and a short guide come with it, so you can add products and edit pages yourself. Your Shopify plan (from £25/mo) is paid to Shopify directly — we never mark it up or take a cut. How you pay: 50% before work begins and the balance on completion. Smaller jobs and setup fees may be invoiced in full when you accept; your quote shows which. No VAT is added.

Why Shopify

Built for selling things.

For a service business we build on WordPress. When your main job is selling products, Shopify does the heavy lifting out of the box, without a stack of plugins to keep alive.

  • Payments on day one. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Shopify Payments, with no separate gateway to set up.
  • Stock that keeps count. Variants, collections and stock levels are built in.
  • Sell in more places. The same products on your site, Instagram, Google Shopping and an in-person till.
  • Card security handled. Shopify looks after PCI compliance, so you don’t have to.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does Shopify itself cost?
Shopify plans start from about £25 a month, paid to Shopify directly. When you pay with Shopify Payments there is no extra transaction fee on top of the card rate. We never mark the plan up or take a cut, and we build in a free development store, so your plan only starts when you are ready to launch.
Shopify or a WordPress website?
If selling products online is the main job, Shopify. If you sell a service and want a few things to buy or book, a WordPress website usually fits better and costs less to run. Tell us what you sell and we will say which, honestly.
How long does it take?
A theme launch is ready in about two weeks and a custom build in about four. Migrations depend on how many products, customers and orders are moving. The biggest variable is usually product photos and descriptions, so the sooner those are ready, the sooner you launch.
Will I be able to run it myself?
Yes. Every store comes with a handover call and a short guide covering products, orders, discounts and page edits. If you would rather we kept on top of it, ongoing support is £60/mo with an hour of work included each month.
Who owns the store?
You do. The store is set up under your own Shopify account, with your own payment details, from day one. The theme work we do is yours to keep, and you can change who helps you with it at any time.
Can you move my Etsy or WooCommerce shop across?
Yes. We move your products, customers and, where the platform allows, past orders, then redirect every old product and page address so customers and Google land in the right place. We plan the switchover so the old shop keeps trading until the new one is ready.
